Inspiration for August from Ink Drops - stationery by subscription | inkdrops.co.uk

We’ve been having a delightful August (if you exclude getting drenched while cycling last week). Happily, the weather stayed dry enough to lie in the garden drinking tea and watching the Perseid meteor shower. Who doesn’t want to see shooting stars?

Delightful little things to explore in August

The Oxford English Dictionary has added new words including Hygge and gin daisy! If you want to explore this fascinating resource further find out if your local library service subscribes.

Amy Packham, @amypackham15, has written a fabulous piece for Huffpost about bullet journaling being so much than just a planning system. Whether you’re a BuJo enthusiast or on the fence this is worth spending a few minutes on.

On the subject of getting organised The Minimalists have an amusing short animation on the subject of job lists and the danger of putting off the meaningful in order to pursue the urgent mundane.

One of our favourite card companies, Little Difference, plants trees for every card they sell. Check out the update on their blog about tree planting in Madagascar.

Enjoy the rest of the month.

P.s. If you feel like summer is slipping away you might want to look at our recent post on 3 ways to make the most of summer, or just declare that autumn can’t come too soon and order some stationery goodies for that ‘back to school’ feeling.
