Spotted this lovely article in my peruse of the internet this morning, which nevertheless made me sad in places…
“You and I might have received a handwritten letter this week, but most people have not.”
So true – and so tragic! One of the things we hope to achieve with Ink drops is more handwritten letters. By supplying the ingredients for beautiful letters, we hope to inspire people to write more… and perhaps the recipients of those letters will catch the bug and write back!
I have to also add that writing in coloured inks is one of my favourite things to do. I remember being told as a child that you should never address an envelope in red. I’m not sure of the relevance of this in the modern age, and I usually write letters in turquoise or purple ink nowadays. It just makes me smile, and hopefully does the same for the person opening the letter too.
