Spotted this lovely article  in my peruse of the internet this morning, which nevertheless made me sad in places…

“You and I might have received a handwritten letter this week, but most people have not.”

So true – and so tragic! One of the things we hope to achieve with Inkdrops is more handwritten letters – by supplying the ingredients for beautiful letters, we hope to inspire people to write more… and perhaps the recipients of those letters will catch the bug and write back!

I have to also add that writing in coloured inks is one of my favourite things to do – I remember being told as a child that you should never address an envelope in red. I’m not sure of the relevance of this in the modern age, and I usually write letters in turquoise or purple ink nowadays. It just makes me smile, and hopefully does the same for the person opening the letter too.
